Welcome!
I’m a PhD student in the SFB 1760 Silence, Noise & Signal in Language (Project B03) in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Konstanz.
My main research interests include historical phonology, the prosody-syntax interface, and language change.
My PhD dissertation investigates the prosodic realisation of pronouns in West Germanic languages (supervised by George Walkden and Tina Bögel).
In my research, I combine paleographic evidence from historical manuscripts with production experiments in modern varieties of these languages. By combining historical and synchronic approaches, I aim to understand how linguistic patterns evolve and persist over time.
Some personal things…
My not-so-secret linguistic love is Swabian, a North Allemanic variety spoken in Southwest Germany - which also happens to be my native variety.
When I am not thinking about linguistics, I enjoy baking (bread), reading, and hiking. I am also very much a dog person - something that seems quite rare among linguists.
